Weddings

Real wood-fired pizza for your wedding, made by hand and cooked with a real wood fire, right there at your venue.

Your guests can see the fire and watch Jeremy making the pizzas, then tuck in as they come out of the oven. Relaxed, generous and a little bit rustic, just like a good wedding should be.

Venues we know

Wedding venues we've cooked at

We travel to venues right across Southern Tasmania. Here are a few we know well.

Ratho Farm

Bothwell. We've done several weddings at Ratho Farm and absolutely love it.

Flagstaff Estate

We cook at Flagstaff Estate regularly, so we know the setup well.

Coal Valley Vineyard

We've brought our wood-fired trailer to Coal Valley Vineyard before.

Getting married somewhere else? Just ask. As long as there's safe access and a flat spot to set up, we'll talk it through with you. Tell us about your venue →

How it works

Three easy steps from first hello to the last slice.

  1. Enquire

Send us your date, venue and guest numbers using the enquiry form, or give Jeremy a call on 0455 024 242. We'll check the date and get back to you.

  2. Plan your menu together

We'll chat about your guests, your venue and what you love to eat, then shape a wood-fired menu that suits your day.

  3. We light the fire

On the day we arrive, set up and light the fire, then make and cook your pizzas fresh on site, served on wooden paddles. When the last pizza's out of the oven, we pack down.

Questions & answers

Do you do wood fired pizza catering for weddings in Hobart?

Yes. Weddings are a big part of what we do. Our mobile wood-fired setup comes to your venue in and around Hobart and right across Southern Tasmania, and we make and cook your pizzas on site with a real wood fire. Send us your date and we'll check availability.

Are you a wedding food truck in Tasmania?

Pretty much. Our mobile setup is a converted trailer with a wood-fired oven at its heart, and it travels to weddings across Southern Tasmania. Your guests can see the fire and watch Jeremy making the pizzas, so it doubles as a bit of a show.

How much does wedding pizza catering cost?

Catering is from $2,800 + GST for up to 100 guests, then $28 + GST per extra guest. Grazing paddles can be added for $15 + GST per guest. A small travel fee may apply.

How is the pizza served at a wedding?

Pizzas are served sliced on rustic wooden paddles for sharing, or we can walk them around for a more cocktail-style feel. Service runs over one to two hours, with a mix of meat, seafood and vegetarian pizzas.

Can you cater for dietary needs?

Allergy and dietary requirements can be accommodated in most circumstances. Vegan cheese is available, and we offer gluten friendly bases. Please note our gluten friendly bases are cooked on the same oven floor as our other pizzas, so we can't guarantee them 100% gluten free. Talk to us about any allergies when you enquire.

What do you need from the venue?

To ensure a smooth setup, we'll need safe access and a flat surface. If your venue includes steep or gravel driveways, just let us know in advance and we'll talk it through with you.

What happens if it rains?

Wet weather doesn't affect us — our enclosed food van setup keeps us well protected from wind and rain.

How early should we book?

Get in touch as early as you can, especially for weddings during peak season, as popular dates can fill up.

Can we try the pizza before we book?

Absolutely. Come and see us at the Ember Bus in the Hobart Brewing Company beer garden, 284 Argyle St, North Hobart, Wednesday to Sunday.
